A Smiley Face

If you read this and saw my facebook post or I emailed you the video link, then you already know this.

This morning while I was in the shower I was praying asking God to expedite the process. As the tears mixed with the water drops, I felt myself say, "Ok, Amy, quit spending tears let's just focus on today". So I wrapped up the prayer and finished up.

When I was in the room putting on my jewelry I heard a high pitched little voice. As every mom does, I turned off the Pandora and listened to make sure it wasn't crying.

It was Ava's sweet little voice singing in full falsetto. Often she will be singing "some day my prince will come, some day we'll.......some day when my dreams come true". Or any other variety of princess songs.
But today she was singing full on praise and worship music. Her lyrics were a remix of many worship songs we sing in the car, while cleaning house, at church and what she learns in sunday school. They were full on truths. "There's nobody else but the King of Majesty....the King of life, Jesus, He sets us free from shackles and chains, Jesus is the only one with the power, and he can set people free, and he is the only King of our lives, ......just before the power of the King of Majesty and Jesus is the only one who saves us from the shackles and he's the only one for you.....He has Superpower". In the same run-on sentence song, she was singing, "He destroyed the shackles and chains and was the only nice King, He is the only power, We will worship Him, He will keep his promises, He will keep his promises, God will keep His promises, He will save the life for you.....He will heal our boo-boo's.......etc".
There I was in tears crying to God my father, my Abba, my sweet Creator and Sustainer and Friend to the End....and He used my precious little 4yr old daughter as a reminder. "He's the King of Majesty, He saves us, God keeps His promises, and He heals our boo-boos."

I'm trusting in the God who fills the heart of my 4yr old with praise. As tough as this part of life may be, I know it's so good. Because I know the Author. I'm constantly getting to see the personality of God revealed. Whether its with parenting my daughter, helping out with Human Trafficking efforts, mentoring kids, being married, or just reading the bible. He's so present. His presence and working in my life is undeniable.

:-)
